Alpha Testing (still unknown)

Postby Lady_T » Fri Jan 15, 2010 12:57 am

The very first test wont be too far away hopefully. things to expect from this first test:

Account Creation/Login
MAYBE character customization (if not, everybody will have the basic character from the screenshots for now)
1 weapon (same from the screenshots (the rocket launcher) ).
Entire Main Realm will be able to be explored along with all the towns.
A few monsters to kill/fight (of course with the rocket launcher unless i change it to a sword beforehand).

The monster's may or may not be there depending on how long it takes to add them if everything else is already ready. The purpose of this test is to make sure different computers of different types can handle the graphics and the engine online is working correctly without crashes.

Any idea's/comments? :)

These weapons are just to temporary.
We will replace them for swords, axes, staff, etc.

nothing new just yet. dekker and myself and looking into maybe using the valve engine if possible. Torque is nice but its codeing/scripting is too complicating/headache lol. i have tried many ways to lower lag in torque but i think a major part of the polygon count is coming from the terrain itself.

There are certain ways to lower the polycount of the terrain in Torque for sure!
